Step 1. Obtain digging permission for your property or nearby area.
Step 2. Start digging a hole that is 1.8 to 2.1 meters deep and 1.5 to 1.8 meters wide with a friend.
Spend some time with a friend digging a hole that is 1.8 to 2.1 meters deep and 1.5 to 1.8 meters wide. Make sure to stick to these dimensions to avoid collapses.
Step 3. Once the hole is done, measure a slope down to 0.9 meters and start digging a trench in any direction.
Step 4. If you're feeling adventurous, you can dig another hole or create additional tunnels leading off from the main pit or from the tunnels themselves.
Step 5. When you're satisfied with the size of the hole and trench, start constructing a roof to protect against unwanted guests and rain.
After finishing the digging and being happy with the dimensions, build a roof that will shelter you from the elements and unwelcome visitors. Look for sturdy sticks, boards, or plywood to lay across the trench spaced 2.5 to 5 cm apart to support the weight of animals and a considerable amount of earth (or snow).
Step 6. Once you've laid down the boards or sticks, find leaves, grass, small branches, or other lightweight materials to cover the gaps.
Step 7. Use the clay and dirt left over from the digging to cover the trench and pit already lined with boards and leaves.
Don't rush to cover the structure; otherwise, the sticks may sag or break, leading to a collapse.
Step 8. Keep in mind that your hideaway can have additional spaces, like large party rooms or long tunnels extending deep underground.
Step 9. Note that such a structure can easily collapse in unsuitable soil, so exercise caution...
