Crafting a ghost story is an exciting and creative process!
Writing a Unique Ghost Story
Step 1. Remember that writing is turning ideas into words.

Keep in mind that writing is the transformation of your imagination into text. Some authors master this art so well that you can literally see a movie unfolding in your mind as you read!
Step 2. Start with brainstorming.

Begin by generating ideas. This stage can turn into a real creative storm! You can invite a couple of friends for a collaborative discussion to boost the creative flow.
Step 3. Review your ideas and select the main one.

Once you've gathered your ideas, choose one that will become the foundation of your plot. Think about what your story will be about and how it will begin. For example: "Sarah gazed into the vast emptiness around her, unaware that something was approaching. Who knows what secrets may unfold in the light of the full moon?" This could be a great start for your narrative!
Step 4. Develop the plot!

Expand your plot! Many screenwriters use this technique. Take some index cards and jot down your ideas — from 4 to 10, depending on the length of your story. Then review the cards and arrange them in a way that makes sense to you, helping you better understand the structure of your story. Or just let your imagination run wild!
Step 5. Now for the exciting part!

Now comes the most thrilling part! You can find plenty of ghost stories online or in books, or come up with a completely fresh vision!
Step 6. Focus on the ghosts.

Step 7. Visualize them in your mind.

Visualize the ghosts. How do they interact with the characters in your narrative? Are they central figures in the story?
Step 8. Describe all the details.

Now, describe all aspects of your story. Decide where the action will take place and what events will occur. You can follow traditional approaches or seek something entirely new!
