Nickelodeon tightly guards the recipe for its famous green slime. However, it is known that the original recipe consisted of applesauce, vanilla pudding, oatmeal, and green food coloring. Don’t wait for Nickelodeon to share its secrets—make this fun slime yourself! You can create edible, kid-safe slime or even glowing-in-the-dark varieties.
Jelly-Based Slime
Step 1. Gather all the necessary ingredients and tools.

To make jelly-based slime, you will need:
- 20-liter bucket;
- 6 large packets of jelly powder;
- 4 kg of flour;
- 250 ml of children's shampoo;
- 6 liters of water;
- green food coloring.
Step 2. Mix jelly, flour, and water in the bucket.

In the 20-liter bucket, combine the jelly powder, flour, and water. This will give you about 11 liters of sticky green slime. To avoid a mess, it’s best to do this in the bucket.
- Open 6 packets of jelly powder and pour them into the bucket.
- Add 2 kg of flour.
- Pour in 4 liters of water.
- Mix thoroughly to avoid lumps.
Step 3. Add the remaining flour and water.

Add the remaining flour and water. Since it’s important to achieve the perfect consistency, take your time and check the texture periodically.
- Stir in the remaining 2 kg of flour.
- Gradually add 2 liters of water while continuing to mix. Occasionally check how the slime flows from the whisk. If it’s too runny, keep mixing. If it flows slowly, it’s ready.
Step 4. Add shampoo and dye.

Pour 250 ml of children's shampoo and a few drops of green food coloring into the bucket. Stir until the slime turns green.
- Add more dye if necessary.
Cornstarch-Based Slime
Step 1. Gather the ingredients and materials.

To make cornstarch slime, you will need:
- sealable bags;
- small bowls;
- 1 cup (130 g) of cornstarch;
- 1 cup (240 ml) of water;
- green food coloring.
Step 2. Mix the ingredients in a bag.

Simply open the sealable bag and add all the ingredients.
- Pour in 1 cup of cornstarch.
- Add 1 cup of water.
- Add 3-5 drops of green food coloring. You can adjust the amount of dye to your liking.
Step 3. Seal the bag and shake.

Seal the bag tightly and shake it vigorously to combine all the ingredients into a smooth mixture. Switch hands if one gets tired.
- Do not shake the bag upside down.
Step 4. Pour the slime into a bowl and play.

Open the bag and carefully pour the slime into a small bowl. Make sure to dispose of the bag. Now you can play with it!
Borax-Based Slime
Step 1. Prepare the necessary ingredients.

To make borax-based slime, you will need:
- 2 bowls;
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) of borax;
- 1 ⅓ cups (320 ml) of hot water;
- 2 cups of PVA glue;
- 1 ½ cups (360 ml) of hot water;
- green food coloring.
Step 2. Mix borax with hot water.

This will give you the perfect consistency for slime. In one bowl, combine the borax and hot water.
- Add 1 teaspoon of borax to the bowl.
- Pour in 1 ⅓ cups of hot water and stir.
Step 3. Prepare glue with water and dye in another bowl.

- Pour 2 cups of PVA glue into another bowl.
- Add 1 ½ cups of hot water.
- Stir in 3-5 drops of green food coloring and mix well.
Step 4. Combine the mixtures and set aside.

Mix the borax solution with the green glue solution. Stir until you achieve the desired consistency—the slime should slowly drip from the spoon.
- If the color is not vibrant enough, add more dye.
Liquid Starch Slime
Step 1. Prepare the ingredients.

To create liquid slime, you will need:
- large bowl;
- liquid starch;
- PVA glue;
- green food coloring.
Step 2. Mix equal parts glue and starch.

Decide how much slime you need and measure equal parts glue and liquid cornstarch.
- For example, you might need anywhere from ¼ cup to over 4 liters of slime.
- Pour 1 part glue into the bowl and add an equal amount of liquid starch.
Step 3. Stir before adding dye.

Stir the mixture until it begins to thicken, then add 3-5 drops of green food coloring and mix again.
Step 4. Keep stirring until you have slime.

Do not stop stirring for a few minutes. Check the consistency by scooping with a spoon.
- If the slime is too runny, keep mixing.
Glow-in-the-Dark Slime
Step 1. Gather all the necessary ingredients.

To create glow-in-the-dark slime, you will need:
- disposable cups;
- sealable bags;
- ¾ teaspoon (3.75 ml) of polyvinyl alcohol;
- ½ cup (120 ml) of water;
- ⅛ teaspoon (0.6 ml) of green glow-in-the-dark paint;
- ¾ teaspoon (3.75 g) of borax powder;
- ½ cup (120 ml) of warm water.
Step 2. Prepare the PVA solution.

Dilute the polyvinyl alcohol for the glowing slime.
- Mix ¾ teaspoon of alcohol with ½ cup of water in a cup.
Step 3. Combine the PVA solution with the paint.

Add the green glow-in-the-dark paint to the solution to make the slime glow.
Step 4. Prepare the borax solution in another bag.

- In a new bag, mix ¾ teaspoon of borax with ½ cup of warm water.
Step 5. Combine both solutions.

Mix the solutions to create glow-in-the-dark slime.
Step 6. Charge the slime and watch it glow.

Leave the bag in the light for a few hours to charge the slime. Then check how it glows in the dark.
Edible Protein Slime
Step 1. Gather all the necessary ingredients.

To make edible protein slime, you will need:
- 1 cup of spinach;
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla protein powder;
- ¼–⅓ cup (50–65 ml) of unsweetened almond milk;
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) of almond extract;
- 5-6 drops of liquid stevia.
Step 2. Blend the ingredients.

Blend the spinach, almond milk, protein powder, almond extract, and stevia together.
Step 3. Whip until smooth.

Process all ingredients until you have a smooth mixture without lumps.
Step 4. Enjoy your natural slime.

This non-toxic slime is perfect for play and as a treat for kids. Drizzle it over pancakes or waffles for a fun snack!
Edible Condensed Milk Slime
Step 1. Gather the ingredients.

To make edible condensed milk slime, you will need:
- 1 medium saucepan;
- 400 ml of condensed milk;
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) of cornstarch;
- green food coloring.
Step 2. Mix the ingredients in the saucepan.

Pour the condensed milk, cornstarch, and dye into the saucepan.
Step 3. Heat and stir.

Place the saucepan over low heat and stir constantly until the mixture thickens.
Step 4. Add dye and let cool.

Once the mixture has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat, add the green dye, and let it cool before playing.
