Step 1. Identify the type of paint previously used:

  • After that, treat the surface again with trisodium phosphate (TSP) to neutralize the acid and remove greasy stains. Rinse thoroughly with water.

Step 5. Rinse the pool again:

Rinse the pool again, including drains, lights, and ladders. Make sure all standing water is removed, and allow the surface to dry for 3-5 days. Note that acrylic paint can be applied to a slightly damp surface.
