If you dream of turning your home into an exotic retreat, we have a simple DIY guide for creating a hanging basket from coconut shells.

Part 1

Step 1. Gather all necessary materials.

Step 2. Cut the coconut in half, or you can also break it open by hand.

Step 3. Place both halves in the oven or microwave for 20 minutes to dry them thoroughly.

The temperature should be at least 180 degrees Celsius.

Step 4. Carefully scoop out the coconut flesh using a spoon.

Step 5. Measure the circumference of the coconut.

Step 6. Divide the obtained value by 3.

Step 7. Mark the spots for three holes, measuring 1.25 cm from the edge and 1/3 of the circumference length from the side.

Make three evenly spaced holes around the circle following the marks you made.

Step 8. Use a drill with a 0.6 cm bit to create the holes.

Step 9. Tie a ribbon or rope through each of the holes to hang your basket.

Step 10. You can string beautiful beads or pearls onto the rope for decoration.

Step 11. Tie the three ends of the rope together, leaving 0.5 meters from the edge.

Step 11

Now your basket is ready to be hung, and you can enjoy a tropical atmosphere in your home!
